Prices

All prices include VAT. On the Danish version of the site you are charged in Danish kroner; on the English version, in euro.

The price of a piece is calculated from the view you choose, because milling a steep landscape is more work than a flat one. The price you are shown before you pay is the price charged. Nothing is added afterwards.

Shipping is included in the price.

Payment

Payment is made by card, MobilePay or Apple Pay through the payment provider Stripe. The amount is charged when you complete your order.

Your card details are entered with Stripe and never pass through our own server. We can neither see nor store them.

Delivery

Every piece is made after you order it. Allow 3–5 weeks. If you need it by a particular date, write to us before ordering.

The piece is sent requiring a signature. That is deliberate: a relief in solid oak should not be left on a doorstep in the rain. If you are not home when delivery is attempted, the carrier will contact you with the option of redelivery or collection at the nearest parcel shop.

If the parcel is not collected within the carrier’s deadline, it is returned to us. We will contact you before sending it out again.

Risk passes to you once you, or someone you have nominated, has received the piece.

Right of withdrawal

There is NO right of withdrawal on your piece.

A relief is milled to the map view you chose yourself, with the engraving you wrote yourself. It is therefore goods made to your specifications and clearly personalised, and is exempt from the 14-day right of withdrawal under section 18(2)(3) of the Danish Consumer Contracts Act, which implements the EU Consumer Rights Directive.

You accept this when you complete your order. It is also stated next to the order button, before you pay.

The exemption applies to the piece itself. It does not affect your rights if something is wrong with it — see the section on complaints.

Complaints

You have a two-year right to complain under the Danish Sale of Goods Act. If a fault appears that is due to manufacture or materials, we repair or replace the piece at no cost. If neither is possible, you get your money back.

Complain within reasonable time of noticing the fault. Writing within two months is always in time.

Write to dennis@dhmilling.com with your order number and, if you can, a photograph. We pay return shipping on a justified complaint.

Wood is a natural material

Oak is a living material. Colour, grain, medullary rays and small knots vary from piece to piece, and two pieces of the same place are never alike. The surface carries the marks of the cutter, and that is how the product is meant to be.

Wood also moves with the humidity through the year. Small movements and fine drying cracks are characteristics of solid wood, not faults in the piece.

The 3D preview on the site is built from the same elevation data and the same geometry as the finished piece, but it cannot show what your particular block of oak looks like. Differences in the appearance of the wood are therefore not a defect.

If we disagree

Write to us first at dennis@dhmilling.com. Most things are settled the same day.

If we cannot resolve it, Danish consumers may complain to Nævnenes Hus, Toldboden 2, 8800 Viborg, Denmark — naevneneshus.dk.

If you are buying from another EU country, your national European Consumer Centre can help you.

Governing law

Purchases from us are governed by Danish law. If you are a consumer resident in another EU country, you do not lose the protection of the mandatory rules of your own country.
