One place · one piece of oak · one at a time
The landscape you know,
cut from solid oak.
Pick a mountain, a pass or a stretch of coastline on the map. We turn it into a topographic relief, milled from solid oak using the real elevation data.
See the finished piece in 3D before you order.
Find the place
Search for it on the map and draw a frame around exactly the view you want. From a single valley to an entire massif.
See it in wood
The model is built from the same elevation data and the same geometry as your finished piece. You see all of it in 3D, frame included — exactly what you receive.
We make it
Your order lands with us and we start straight away. We find the piece of oak that suits your subject, and we do not let it go until it is right.

The grain runs with the landscape
The landscape is cut down into the solid wood, and the grain runs with it the whole way. Wherever the landscape rises, a new line of grain comes up — and they draw themselves as contour lines across the mountainside.
No two pieces are ever alike, not even of the same place. The block is chosen to suit the subject — a quiet piece of wood for an open coastline, one with more life in the grain for a mountain range.
The surface is left as it came off the machine, and finally given a matt hardwax oil that seals the wood without adding shine. The oak comes from certified European forestry.

The name of the place, cut into the same wood
Name and altitude are engraved straight into the quietest corner of the landscape — not onto a plaque, not onto the frame. The surface is eased flat beneath the text so it stays readable however steep the terrain.
The text is cut into the wood once the relief is finished, 15 mm from the edge of the panel. You choose which of the two bottom corners it sits in — or leave it off entirely, if the piece should stand without words.

One size, 40 × 40 cm
The measurement is external, frame included. How much ground it covers is up to you — from a couple of kilometres to a hundred.

Where it is all made
Everything is made in the same workshop. The block is cut to size, the relief milled, the frame assembled and the piece oiled — it passes through the same hands from start to finish. No subcontractor, nothing sent on half-finished.
There is never more than one piece on the machine at a time. The machine takes the hours; the hand takes the rest — the frame, the edges, the oil. That part cannot be hurried.
